Our club tournament originally scheduled for this Saturday (10/29/2011) has been rescheduled to next Saturday (11/05/2011). This week we are going to meet at Archery Outpost (4-7).

Important Announcements for October

Please note the time and location for the following dates!!!

Sat 10/15:  Archery Outpost (4-7pm)

Sat 10/22:  El Dorado Park (3-6pm) due to private event hosted by Archery Outpost

Sat 10/29:  Archery Outpost (4-7pm).  We will be having our Club Indoor Tournament.  Entry fee is $15 per archer.

October Announcements

1. From this week (10/08/2011) we are going to practice at ARCHERY OUTPOST  until next year outdoor season.

2. There will be an indoor club tournament on 10/29/11, from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Entry fee is $15 (for medals etc). Please pay to Eric mom.  That day is the only day which Coach Lee can attend in Oct. To those of you competing in the Duel in the Desert at El Dorado Park that day, please notify Jinwoo's Mom to see how many people will not be present. For the club tournament, and contact Eric's mom if you can provide snacks for the club.

3. To those of you borrowing equipment from the club, please return the equipment as soon as possible. Since some equipments get lost or broken, we will establish a new policy regarding equpiment rentals.

4. For private lessons, check available lesson dates on the blog. They will be updated frequently.

5. To those of you who need help for buying equipment, email  Coach Lee.( coachksl@gmail.com ) He will be able to help you.

6.Many pictures by Mr. Ham (Eugene's dad) were updated. Enjoy them and thank Mr.Ham :)

7.Our monthly club fee due is every first week of the month. Please don't miss the due date. 
There will be a late fee, as you all know.

8. There are 5 weeks in October. Please thank our coaches and enjoy the extra week of practice!

Parents:  Please arrive by 6:30pm to pick up your kids.
              Depending on the light conditions, the park ranger may ask us to pack up and leave early.

USA Archery Coach Certification Class

BASIC INSTRUCTOR

Audience: Camp instructors, Girl/Boy Scouts, 4-H etc.
Purpose: Introduce how to teach archery to a new instructor, most likely never shot before. Course focuses on safety, range set-up, basic equipment setup and repair and teaching the basic steps of shooting.
Length of Course: 8-12 hours
Prerequisite: minimum age: 15
Administration: USA Archery

INTERMEDIATE INSTRUCTOR

Audience: Instructors with little or no archery experience who will be working in a more established archery program i.e. JOAD, ASAP, Parks/Recreation, College Archery Program.
Purpose: Introduce basic shooting steps, safety, range set-up; equipment setup and repair, fitting equipment to an archer, how to teach archery and how to teach a Basic Instructor Course.
Length of Course: 16-20 hours
Prerequisite:

• Background check: see attachment on right "Background Screening Information"
• minimum age: 18;
• USAA membership

Administration: USA Archery

Date : 09/17~18

There are a few tournaments left before the outdoor season comes to an end.

3) FITA Qualifier (Sept. 11)

For those of you who are new to competition and wonder what it's like can attend the qualifier, in which you will be able to experience the competition-feeling.
