2011 December Announcement

1. Check out post regarding the mail-in competition that Archery Outpost will be hosting on December 11.

2. On the first week of December (12/3/2011), we will be having a parents' meeting.
    Please come inside Archery Outpost.

3. We are planning to buy insurance for everyone in the club, in order to prepare for possible accidents anywhere while doing archery..
     The fee is $5 for one year.
     You just need to pay the fee and fill out some simple informations.

4. On 12/17/2011, Joy Archery Club is planning to hold a Christmas Party.
     Informations and plannings regarding the party will be discussed at the Parents' Meeting (food, coaches' presents, etc)

5. Club will still be open on 12/24/2011.
     However, club time is 1pm to 4pm.

6. On 12/31/2011, there will be no club. Please do not show up on 12/31/2011.

7. Tuition is due on the first week of each month. Without any excuse, late fees will be charged to every tuition that is paid late.

8. Please thank the parents who provide snacks for our archers.

   아이들을 Drop Off 하시고 Outpost  안으로 들어와 주세요.

3.양궁을 하면서 발생할수 있는 사고를 대비해 단체로 Insurance를 가입하고자 합니다.

4.12월 17일에는 2011 조이 양궁 클럽의 크리스마스 파티를 하고자 합니다.
   자세한 내용은 Parents' Meeting에서 의논 할께요.(참가비, 코치들 선물, 학생들간 선물  교환
  ,음식준비 등등)

5.12월 24일에도 클럽이 open됩니다.
   단, 클럽시간은 1시에서 4시 입니다.착오없으시길..

6. 12월31은 클럽이 close입니다. 착오 없으시기 바랍니다.

7.  매월 첫주는 회비를 내는주 입니다.   빠짐없이 납부해 주세요.  별다른 excuse 없
     이 납부 하시지 않으면 late fee가 charge 됩니다.

8. 클럽 시간에 아이들에게 snack를 마련해 주시는 여러 부모님들께 감사드립니다.

JOAD Mail-In Tournament - Indoor - 12.11.2011

On December 11, 2011 (Sunday), Archery Outpost will be hosting an indoor mail-in tournament.

This is an oppotunity for anyone who wants more experience in competition.

Participants will shoot 30 arrows, meaning the score will be out of 300.

This Week's Practice - 11/26/2011

Attention all Archers:

We will still have practice this week at Archery Outpost.

The time will be the same (4-7pm).

Club Tournament Winners!

For our club competition, we did round-robin matches and then a Grand Champion shoot-off.  Our goal was to give our archers more experience in match play...plus matches are way more fun and dynamic!

Half of the group shot at 9 meters and the other half at 18 meters.  4 winners from each of these groups earned a chance to compete in the Grand Champion shoot-off.

In the end, it would be David Huh who took 1st place followed closely by Kent Nitta who took 2nd.  For 3rd and 4th place, a one arrow shoot-off would be needed as two archers were tied with 5 set points each.  Both archers shot gold, but Shin Won Kim's arrow was just slightly closer to center so she would take 3rd and Harry Park would take 4th.

We saw a lot of great matches and are proud of how all of our archers competed.
Good job everyone!  ^^

Joy Archery Indoor Tournament and Clinic

This Saturday, we will be holding our Indoor Tournament at Archery Outpost, from 4pm to 7pm.

For beginning archers, we will be having a separate class, but if they wish, they may choose to participate in the tournament, as experience is crucial.

The entree cost per participant is $15, but donation of $5 would be gladly appreciated, as it will go towards buying snack for our club members.

After the tournament (11/5/2011), Coach Lee will be holding a free clinic for those who would like to improve their form and receive additional coaching.
