Important: Information for 02/11/2012 Scoring Round - 300 + Upcoming Tournaments

Dear Fellow Archers,

On 02/11/2012 (Saturday), we will be shooting a 30-arrow scoring round, giving us a score out of 300.

We will be shooting 10 ends of 3 arrows.

This scoring practice is in an effort to prepare for the upcoming U.S. National Indoor Championships at Tulare, CA, on 2/24/2012-2/26/2012.

In an actual tournament, scoring will be out of 1200 (120 arrows), which is split into 30 arrows + 30 arrows on the first day and 30 arrows + 30 arrows on the second day.

We will be shooting just one of the four 30-arrows.

In order to finish on time, we must be ready to proceed by 4pm.

That means, archers must already have set up their equipment and be ready to stretch by 4pm!

Please try to come before 4pm on 02/11/2012 and be ready to go at 4pm!

Are you all excited for the upcoming outdoors season??

Below are lists of competitions that count toward your state or national ranking.

State or national ranking can be achieved only by those who are members of USArchery (membership can be obtained here for a $35 fee: http://usarchery.org/membership).

For state, you must attend three of the four tournaments listed.

State indoor was in January, so those of you who missed it must attend all upcoming state competitions!

As for nationals, you must attend National Target Championships/Easton JOAD National Championships (two events combined into one) in order to obtain a national rank.

For both state and national ranking, the more tournaments you attend, your rank generally increases (not always!) because rankings are determined by averaging the ranks you placed in each tournament.

Thank you, Stephanie, for the list of competitions for 2012!

There are always more non-ranking related tournaments to compete in at  http://calarchery.net/index.php?option=com_jevents&view=year&task=year.listevents&Itemid=44  (state events) or http://usarchery.org/events (national events).
